SupplyGreen Privacy Policy

SupplyGreen ("the app") helps you discover sustainable, eco-friendly businesses and products near you. This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's used.

Data we collect

• Device location — used to find green businesses near you in Search and on the Map. Location is sent to Google Places API to fetch nearby results; it is not stored on our servers tied to your identity, except in aggregate form (see "Demand signals" below).
• Google Sign-In email — if you choose to sign in, we use Google Sign-In (via Android Credential Manager) to identify your account. This lets features like favorites and business claims sync across your devices.
• Favorites and business claims — if signed in, the businesses you favorite and any business listings you claim are stored in our database (Firestore), tied to your account, so they sync across devices and can be verified.
• Business payments — if you claim a business and choose to upgrade to a paid plan, checkout and billing (including your email address, used to send a receipt) are handled entirely by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. We store only your plan status and renewal date, not your card or payment details, which never pass through our servers.
• Push notifications — if you claim a business, we store a device notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send you occasional updates about activity on your listing, such as a weekly summary of interest. You can control notification permissions in your device settings at any time.
• Demand signals — when a search in your area returns no results, we log an approximate location (rounded, not your exact position) and a count, aggregated across all users. This never includes your identity — it's used only to identify areas where we should look for more green businesses to add.
• Assistant conversations — messages you send to the in-app Assistant are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. We do not store your conversation history on our servers beyond what's needed to complete the request.

How we use an anonymous identity

Even if you never sign in, the app creates a silent anonymous account (via Firebase Authentication) so that features like demand-signal logging work consistently. This anonymous identity is not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information unless you separately choose to sign in with Google.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Data is shared only with the service providers necessary to operate the app: Google (Places, Maps, Sign-In, Firebase, push notifications), Anthropic (Assistant responses), and Lemon Squeezy (business payment processing).

Your choices

• You can use the core features of SupplyGreen (Search, Map) without ever signing in.
• You can sign out at any time; this stops cross-device sync but does not delete already-synced data.
• To request deletion of your account data, contact us using the details below.
